Find a cheap flight
to Rome from Scotland with Globespan
From March 2006 you'll be able to find a cheap flight
to Rome from Edinburgh on FlyGlobespan's weekly service.
Winner of the British Airport
Authority's Airline of the Year award in 2005, FlyGlobespan's
summer schedule will include one flight to Rome each Sunday among its
list of 19 European destinations.
Operating its first flight in 2002, FlyGlobespan
operates out of Edinburgh, Glasgow and more recently London Stansted.
With a fleet of 11 aircraft, all Boeing 737s, the airline
also plans on operating a service to Orlando in Florida.
Although any Scottish service that offers the ability
to book a cheap flight to Rome is welcome - Scotland is very poorly served
in this aea - the once a week service does make it useless for anyone
wanting to visit Rome for the weekend, which is a large part of the potential
market, or trying to tap into the business market.
With the increase in the number of places that they fly,
it may be that FlyGlobespan are overstretching themselves and
are more coherent strategy would be to provide a more regular service
to fewer destinantions.
