Rome Accommodation

When most visitors come to book Rome accommodation the first place they look is hotels - or hostels for the many backpackers who travel to the Eternal City.

However, hotels are not the only accommodation option in Rome. While one of the luxury options is to book a hotel suite in one of the 5-star hotels, there is good value in the mid-priced market in short term apartment rentals.

One of the big advantages of an apartment is that you can make your self much more at home than in a hotel, and come and go when you please.

Hotels always work to their own timetable, meaning that if you want to make breakfast it has to be between certain hours and your room will be made up during certain hours. In an apartment you are home from home for the duration of your stay in Rome, although you obviously miss out on benefits such as room service.

Whichever option you choose for your Rome accommodation, it usually pays to be as close to the centre as possible to avoid lengthy travel between your accommodation and the sights and monuments that you are really there for.
